Twitter officially changed its name to "X"! Farewell to the blue bird, the new LOGO and the domain are all online
Twitter officially changed its name to “X”. After Elon Musk’s announcement last night, the new LOGO, name and domain have been launched one after another today. Even the official page has been completely transformed earlier.
Earlier, the official Twitter page has been officially renamed “X”, and users can now log in to the platform as “X.com”, and there will also be an X symbol when reading the web page. The original web version of the blue bird has gone far away, and all of them have been replaced with Musk’s favorite “X” logo. The App icon has not yet been updated, but it may only be a matter of time before it is replaced with “X”.
Linda Yaccarino, CEO of Twitter, also personally explained the brand meaning of “X”, saying that X is the future core of infinite interaction. It will connect audio, video, messaging, payment and banking to create a global market for ideas, goods, services and opportunities, and will be driven by AI technology to connect with each other. This statement is also in line with Musk’s vision of building Twitter into a “super app” that allows all behaviors such as payment and communication to be performed through a single platform, such as China’s WeChat.
Musk has a special liking for “X”. As early as 1999, he started a business and launched the “X.com” payment platform, which was one of the predecessors of PayPal. Musk even bought back the domain in 2017, and now it finally comes in handy. In addition, the artificial intelligence company he founded is also called “xAI”, the space technology company is called “SpaceX”, and even Tesla has a Model X car model.
